About the Tour
As the Dutch saying goes: “God created the Earth, but the Dutch created the Netherlands.” To truly understand this, I’ll take you to explore the ultra-modern Ijburg district. Located just a few kilometers from the city center, it’s easily accessible by tram or bike. Here, you’ll see an island built from scratch just a few years ago, spectacular water-based buildings, charming floating houses, dikes, and all the infrastructure needed to live in harmony with water — the country’s defining element.

Practical Information:
Take tram 26 from Amsterdam Central Station — 12 minutes to the tour starting point (tram tickets not included).
The tour can be customized as a bicycle tour, starting near Central Station. Duration depends on your choice: minimum 2 hours, maximum 5 hours.
For longer bike tours, the route continues into the Dutch countryside, reaching the picturesque town of Muiden.
