Meet Your Guide

Hi everyone! I’m Gaia — a certified tour guide in Amsterdam, the most beautiful city in the world.

My passion for art, culture, and storytelling started early in life. As a kid, I spent countless weekends with my parents wandering through museums and historic cities, fascinated by the stories behind paintings, buildings, and the people who created them. Those experiences shaped my curiosity and paved the way for what would later become my profession.

During my school years, an inspiring teacher led us on guided visits that made me fall in love with the magic of storytelling — the art of bringing history to life. That spark never faded, and today I feel completely at home inside the Rijksmuseum or the Van Gogh Museum.

After completing my studies in Law, I worked for several years in writing and communications — first as a culture and entertainment editor, and later as a press officer in the public sector.

But life, in its wonderful unpredictability, eventually brought me to Amsterdam — a city that captured my heart from the very first day.

Determined to fully embrace my new surroundings, I learned Dutch and immersed myself in local life and culture. The final, most rewarding step was becoming a certified tour guide.

After completing formal training and passing the required exams, I proudly joined Guidor, the official association of certified guides in the Netherlands.

This job allows me to combine my love for history, art, and storytelling with my deep affection for this city and this country.

Every tour I create is unique — shaped by you, your interests, your curiosity, and your way of experiencing Amsterdam.
